I liked the colors of the early evening’s long shadows in some of my many vacation photos, so I painted it in a rather stylized manner that I hope portrays the simple vastness of a pristine desert area near Sand Hollow, Utah. Critique and suggestions always welcome.
Nicely done!
I love how the stylized swirls in the sky echo the shapes of the dunes without exactly reproducing them as well as the curvature of the horizon–everything has a really nice visual rhythm!
This is a gorgeous piece.
Yeah, its incredible when your lights are correct, the brush and strokes are not important. You always will have a nice work.
yo this is so impressive (the image compression is horrible tho)
it look VAST even when viewing from far (or thumbnail size)
i don’t know what the technic called, fish-eye lense ?
still impressed as of writting
Gorgeous and inspiring work The contrast of cool and warm, along with the wonderful colours playing together, is a treat for the eyes!
Thank you ! I take a lot of my references from still shots taken from my own GoPro videos and it typically curves the horizon in the distance. I kinda like the look so I also painted it that way. Not sure what you mean by image compression tho.
Wow, thank you! I’m a big fan of your work!
Thank you so much!! I am a big fan of your work as well!
