Just here to ask for help with the proportions on this. I sort of finished the sketch and started on some lineart, as you can see. Also, the folds on the dress are making me confused.

I think it is hard for us to judge at this stage. I suggest deciding for the major outlines of her body parts first, and showing us a cleaned up version with the gray faded out much more. Then give an example of how the dress is supposed to look like (maybe you have a reference picture).
It does not look like an easy scenario in any case. 
If you still need it, I can look for some tutorials in my browser favourites. I remember struggling with that as well, even though my dress did not even hit the ground.

Depending on how the object was sent in the air. Her right hand in the first picture looks more natural if she threw it otherwise the second one works for more of a magical feel.
As for the folds Iād recommend looking at a few dress add to determine how a dress lies on the ground.
If you want a basic run down on folds this is a good resource.
