D4V1's Character Dump, All For a Comic Project

My first post here! Still not very experienced with art in general, but I’ve been trying to get things going with a basic webcomic I wanna create, if you have any criticisms or suggestions regarding my art or plotline id be more than happy to hear them so please let me know!

First things first here we have the two main characters, Noah and Gill

So in the very beggining this whole comic project was actually going to be a roblox animation, so for the first few weeks all the characters were just gonna be standard roblox avatars.
As time went on and the project evolved the roblox theme was dropped overrall, but pretty much all human characters are still roblox inspired especially the two main characters, though Im willing to change their design to look less like “robloxians” if necessary, especially Noah who very clearly still resembles a roblox noob.
Note that there are other humam characters planned too, and some even have art already, but for now only the two main characters are actually done and in color.

Looks like I can only upload 4 images since my account is so recent, fair enough, ill see if i can show the rest of my stuff in the replies. If you have any questions please let me know!

Edit: trying to add the sources i forgot

new account restrictions wont let me add all the sources together, so sadly ill have to split them up across the different replies, sorry for that…

I eventually got to work on some anthros as well to go along with the human characters

And it all started with this catgirl I named Belle

By the way, screw Belle! between learning how to draw digitigrade legs and what I can only describe as the worst case of creative block I’ve ever had in my life it took me actual MONTHS to be able to properly design Belle, she was technically the first anthro I tried to make but i was only able to finish her very recently, so yeah that was fun…
Anyway here are some of the other Anthros I tried to design:

Theres also this butterfly anthro I made, the name’s “Ala” and to avoid giving out some big time spoilers I wont be giving her complementary text like the other characters.
Ala’s design was inspired and meant to replicate the vibes of classic creepypastas, whether or not I was able to suceed on that task you decide.

I also got quite a bit of robot characters planned out, but for now only these three are complete

Yeah they’re all bunny robots, no I did not realize the Five Nights at Freddy’s connection until after all three robots were done, fnaf most likely influenced me unconsciously.

All three of the bunny bots were inspired by Honda’s robotics program, starting in the 1980s with the experimental E0 and culminating in the creation of ASIMO in around the 2000s

All images of the honda robots come from Wikipedia

My robots were modeled after the prototypes P3 and P4 though, rather than the final model ASIMO,
and Diaze was actually inspired by the Humanoid Robotics Project or “HRP”, which started out by buying and modifying 3 honda P3 robots!

Still not done! I still have one last set of characters I can show

These five characters belong to a fictional species known in universe as “Luxtems”, the name is an abbreviation of the Latin sentence “lux vivemtem” which roughly translates to “living light”, long story short these are all beings made out of pure energy, most of their names also come from Latin in one way or another.

Connie in particular is a bit of a special case, you see there was a time i was trying to make a Friday Night Funkin mod, and Connie was originally designed for this fnf mod, but eventually I stopped working on the mod and ended up recycling Connie for this new comic project.

Thank you so much if you actually read this wall of text up to this point! if you have any questions please let me know!

Hello @D4V1_2004 and welcome to the forum

You’ve been busy and they are interesting characters.
The character notes are a good and interesting addition :+1:

The photographs that you uploaded need to have a credit statement for the photos themselves and a link to the source that they were downloaded from:

From the forum Code of Conduct: FAQ - Krita Artists

  1. Post Only Your Own Stuff

You may not post anything that belongs to someone else without permission. The exception is reference images, in which case every attempt should be made to credit the artist or photographer by name. In all cases a link to the image owner’s website must be included.

Please do that soon.

Hmm, true i forgot the sources for the robot references, will be adding the wikipedia links to those
but about the other art do i have to link a source to them too? I didnt understand that part very well, and other than a few discord GCs where i showed certain characters before there is not exactly a source for this art because this krita artists post is the source

Either way thanks for letting me know!

edit
I think thats it for the sources, if I still forgot anything please let me know, guess I had it coming for trying to make my first ever post here so gigantic, Ill try my best to credit my references properly from now on.

You posted four photographs so I’ve no idea why you posted nine links.
I’ve put the four links to the photographs immediately after the photographs.

You only need to give credit for other people’s content that you upload, not for something that gave you an idea.
