Video (Edit: Cropped it so it doesn’t waste so much space)
Hey Krita artists! I’ve been working on a dance loop to try out Krita’s animation abilities, mind I’ve been a rough animator for decades and this is my first entry into using a digital program.
Originally this was going to be a simple walk cycle but I needed something more challenging, it’s taken two months since I started back in November, the cleanup took a whole month and a half to clean 100 frames (I had to redo 24 frames).

That’s a lovely smooth animation with well maintained lineart
I notice your .mp4 file is 6.4 MB, which is over the forum limit of 3MB for uploading files.
You can crop the animation to remove some unused space to give frames like this:
If you render that out to .mp4 then it’s 1.6MB, which you can upload here.

Hi sorry, I was having difficulties uploading video. I had the video exported for twitter but didn’t upload so I just sent a screenshot. I did crop a smaller video but I don’t know how to upload. Please bear with me that I am new to your site and I don’t understand all the function, some of the categories are confusing (not sure which is for discussions only and which are for critique of work in progress and which is for showing artwork).
Thank you for the feedback, I made it one two time at 24 frames per second. There were a few frames where my character moves too quickly so even at one to one frames it’s choppy so I I think I need a way to have frames do motion blur affect.
I did notice a lot of crashes when copying/pasting in Krita 5.1.4. I was using a tablet (note that I had to use Krita on a integrated drawing tablet as a challenge to see if its possible to make an entire animation on one).

You upload a video to your post in the same way that you uploaded the screenshot that you showed in your first post. There is a file size limit of 3MB.
Also, as a new user, you will be limited in how many uploads you can do.
The Artwork-sketchbook category of topic is intended for posting sketches, repeatedly, day after day if you like, to show your ideas and various attempts.
If you place your mouse cursor over the categories on the main page, you will see a tooltip that tells you what the category is for.
You’ll get used to it as time goes by
I’ve changed the category of your topic to Artwork-Work In Progress with a tag of ‘animation’ because that seems more appropriate for this.
If you have any problems with krita then please start a new topic with a category of Support and Advice - General Questions then describe the problem with screenshots if possible.
