if you are working with the freehand laso and want to delete something, just press the delete key. This has worked well so far, now the button no longer deletes, it does nothing at all…
the shift key is constantly pressed so that the freehand selection tool is always on -

If you want the Freehand Selection tool to be always on, you just select it on the Toolbox.
If the Shift key is always pressed then any selection tool in use will be forced to have Action:Add, as indicated by a ‘+’ sign in the on-canvas tool icon.
If the Shift key is always pressed then pressing the Del key will give Shift+Del which will delete the currently selected layer.
It would be surprising if you didn’t notice that happening.
Have you made any changes to Keyboard Shortcuts.
It all works normally for me and pressing the Del key (only the Del key) deletes the selection, no matter how the selection was made.

now the problem is that I have to apply pressure with the eyedropper so that the final color comes out. The longer I press it, the more intense the color becomes, I don’t want that and I don’t know where to change it… who knows where? And what is that?
That sounds like a totally different subject/problem so please create a new topic for that and explain in detail what you’re doing and what happens.
