Del's sketchbook (2025)

Hi!
This is my first sketchbook thread with some random sketches, ideas and unfinished stuff.
Usually I’m not very comfortable with showing unfinished stuff online, but I want to change this.
I’ll start with some older stuff that I’ve never posted before:

I tried to really take my time to render this mapcrunch study, but it’s still not finished. I’d like to add something (like a path or so) in the big empty area.
This should be the link, but it is somehow not loading for me anymore. it was from a challenge on mastodon

My best friend wanted her daughter to give up her pacifier and told her a story of a pacifier fairy. I’ve never heard of this before, but she asked me to draw a little image, that she could show her daughter. It’s not very polished because I had not very much time, but I like how it turned out.

edit: corrected the threat

:fearful:
Sounds like you are planning to bomb us out with dangerous paintings? Do we have to live in fear now, especially your second picture seems as it wants to prove the opposite, but who knows, maybe you just want to lull us into a sense of security before the big “retaliatory strike” comes?

I started this last year for a thing on cara, but I had a hard time painting some dappled light and moved on to another project. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

This was my first quick test painting after I moved from windows to linux.
I’ve made a little image viewer in godot a couple of years ago, that can show me random pictures from different reference folders, so that i could combine them into an image idea. I’ve used it for this sketch.
But more on that tool later… maybe. (it’s not really krita related, but a nice art tool)

Did a little photo study today. I wanna figure out why my workflow for this studies is so much different than when I’m starting from scratch.
A lighting scenario like this one is something i hardly ever try to do on my own.

Great drawing. The character’s fervent mood is perfectly conveyed.   :+1:

Отличный рисунок. Задорное настроение персонажа передано превосходно.

Honestly, I just wanted to paint some random people from earthworld and I didn’t know them before. But thank you @floydblue for bringing them to my attention!
I listened to Tuba Skinny while painting my next photo study.

Because it’s the bunny fest, I’ve painted this hare:

Maybe I’ll work on it some more.
