Docker UI Difference

Alright so I’m new to krita but not to digital painting.
My question is when I pull a docker off on it’s own, for some reason it has a weird top to it. A white bar and a red exit button, not matching the rest of the style.

I downloaded the Krita 4.4.3 for windows 64-bit

Please let me know if I need to change a setting to make it look gray on top like the rest of the UI. I attached a screenshot of mine and an image from krita website to compare the issue.

Hi

You’re running Krita on Windows
The style of detached docker window is the default windows style defined by the OS.
So what you get is normal.

Screenshot from Krita’s documentation has been made under a Linux session, this why style is not the same than you.

So there’s no way to change it?

Maybe plugin UI Redesign can do it.
I don’t know

If not, you can try to ask for this feature in main topic of plugin.

Hi, i think this would be change in the 5.x version of Krita

I use Krita also on windows at the job. I was able to change the title bar color editing file in regedit. Quite complicate, and will change all the title bars in OS, but now itt looks preatty, and also I use dark mode in Windows.
Cheers

When do you think the 5.x version would come out, or do you mean like use a nightly build?

If it’s super complicated I probably won’t figure it out. I’m not super techy. I had trouble figuring out how to install the plugin UI Redesign. Thanks tho

I think the 5.0 is scheduled for august. You can use the nightlies if you don’t want to wait but be aware it’s not final version and can crash or have issues…
