I do as for now, because my graphic tablet has been confiscated by my home authorities, (ahem mom dad). Though you’re far better than me is what I can say (furr noww)

@Fuad2d is good at painting with a mouse.

I used to, but it’s quite mentally taxing and uncomfortable compared with a tablet.

It’s easy you should zoom in and draw big shapes in your screen to be comfortable with mouse . after compete your shapes you can zoom out and see the whole drawing.

I do! I have been doing it for all of my half of a year of drawing digitally. Mostly because I don’t think I can afford otherwise. Protip: Stabilizer tool + 100 px delay = requirement for clean mouse drawings.

I used to with vector layers :smiling_face_with_tear: and it was horrible-, this is impressive m8.

This it beautiful!!!

I have a cheap cordless mouse pad, but it’s hard for me to handle the buttons on the pen, or I keep mis-tapping and it does something I didn’t intend. It’s just always been more convenient for me to mouse…so that’s what I do! I’m a BIG KAT! So, swatting a mouse around just comes naturally for me! :smiley_cat:

Haha nice one dude

I’m not with mouse

People please buy a tablet…even a cheap one. It’s impressive and all that you can draw with a mouse, but it won’t be impressive in ten years when your wrist is all broken. Please save your wrists!

I second that, @edgarej. I used a mouse for a long time and it finally got to my wrist and hand. It snuck up on me slowly and then suddenly became a real problem.

I hope it’s all better now

Ahh - but you can afford a decent tablet :grinning:

Huion has an outlet store on ebay, you can buy a quality refurbished/new tablet for starting at about $22 for a 2"x3", $55 for a 10"x6.5", etc. All the tablets have battery free or rechargeable 8192 level stylus’ included. They even have some buy 1 get 1 deals on some of the smaller tablets, if you need 2 or have a friend that wants one

I grabbed a certified refurbished camvas pro 16 pen display for $215 last week, it looks and works like new and came with a 2 year warranty.

I drew with a mouse for 20+ years before a friend gifted me his old wacom bamboo a few years back, the mouse is very doable but the tablet is much nicer and easier on my hand and wrist

I already have carpal tunnel for awhile now. My hand goes numb and hurts when I draw or write for too long. I am double jointed in my thumbs so never held my pencil normally. Personally, the mouse is less brutal on my hand and wrist than traditional drawing and painting, although I long to get back into that and sculpting as well.

I can’t find the youTube video now, but there is this drawing technique where you hold the pencil/pen with the drawing tip up, not down. The way you draw with this technique involves moving with the arm and not the wrist.

Artist recommend drawing this way actually since it’s more expressive and less taxing on the wrists. You might want to check out the technique.
