Drawing a straight line in Multibrush Tool

Hi, I just want to know if it’s possible? Because I know there’s a straight line draw tool- but if I choose that the multi brush tool goes away.

Anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to counter this?

Thanks !

Probably not… :frowning: What are you doing now? Which mode are you using? Translate? the mandala one (I don’t remember how it’s called) ?

You could try to use assistants - not sure if they would work.

You could also try to use clone layers instead. They would work for sure but it’s a bit fiddly…

Painting assistants do work when using the Multibrush tool.
For straight painted lines using Snap to Assistants, the Vanishing Point can give you any number of radial lines.
The Parallel Ruler can give any line parallel to it, which is a bit limiting.

If I were to use a ruler for the non-radial straight lines, I would use just the “Ruler”. It only allows painting exactly where the assistant is. It would fix the “any parallel line” possible issue. Although I never use those rulers, only the Parallel one

I have been frustrated by this as well, but I just came up with a workaround, which at least works in the case of a simple Mirror, but possibly in other cases too. I just made a Clone Layer and applied a Transform Mask to it, then flipped it horizontally. Now drawing something symmetrical doesn’t just limit you to the basic brush options, but you can use any tool to create shapes.
