Export timelapse failed. ffmpeg crashed

Looks like you are using your own downloaded FFmpeg rather than Krita’s built-in one, and it didn’t find openh264 there. Try using the x264 preset instead.

 Hello @micco_sigh, and welcome to the forum!

Which version of Windows do you use?

Which version of Krita do you use? And from where did you download your copy of Krita? Was it from Krita’s homepage, Steam, Microsoft Store, Epic Store, and if it was from somewhere else, from where was that?

Which version of FFmpeg do you use and from where did you obtain it, and why don’t you use the integrated version of FFmpeg which Krita has from version 5.2 on?

Were you able to export timelapse videos before without issues, or did it never work?

The error reported on your photo states it did not find the encoder you have chosen, did you try to encode your timelapse with a different encoder to check if it could be encoded or if there may be a general issue prohibiting encoding.

Did you check if the taken screenshots are consecutively numbered or if there are missing frames? To check a huge amount of frames, select all frames and compare the number of objects your file manager reports with the highest numbered frame.

Did your Krita really crash, or did you choose that tag because FFmpeg has an issue, that is a difference, because I can see that you were able to take a photo of that situation.
By the way, screenshots in Windows are usually taken via the button right of F12 often it has an imprint like Print/Screen or something hinting the action of printing something, after you have hit that button you can paste it via CTRL + V in most of the graphics programs available, in Krita you can create a new image from a screenshot via the new image shortcut CTRL + N and there select Create from Clipboard.

how to use build in one ? what settings i have to change ?

@micco_sigh For the “Render as” setting choose MP4 x264. Right now you have MP4 openh264.

Therefore, you would need Krita 5.2.0 as a minimum requirement, but you better should go for the version Krita 5.2.2 instead, if you have to update, because of all the little additions and bug fixes you’ll get from the recent version that were added since the release of Krita 5.2.0.
And you usually shouldn’t have to point Krita to FFmpeg using the recent version. But in case Krita should use the former set path when updating Krita, then the path to the internal FFmpeg is c:\Program Files\Krita (x64)\bin\ffmpeg.exe for a standard-installation. But because you did not answer my questions, I’m not able to tell you more, and this path won’t work for the versions from Steam, Epic, Microsoft or the portable Version of Krita…

The versions before Krita 5.2.0 needed an external FFmpeg, and there the ffmpeg-release-essentials.zip from GYAN.DEV were the only recommended version for Krita.
