I’m still struggling with painting landscapes. I neglected it for many years but I want to improve this now.
Here is a sketch (that took way to long). I appreciate any input and advice.

I like the fractured ground and the covering of grass and flowers.
Maybe you spent a lot of time concentrating on that because the rest of the picture (which is nice) looks less ‘finished’.
I spend most of the time on everything except the flowers. I did them last in a few minutes because I found the picture lacked some color that is not greed or brown.
I should mention that this took me a lot of time (despite being just a sketch) because I had the feeling that I have no idea what I’m doing even the simple things. I know how it works in theory, I even took a look in my books but I was so unsure about everything.
