Fast Sketch Cleanup plugin: first public testing

I will try to do it. Only later. Now I have very urgent work, sorry. As soon as I have time, I will try to install 3.0 and run the plugin. Everyone needs the plugin, including me.

Can’t figure out how to report this, but this is a clear Terms of Service violation (Terms of Service, Content Standards, rule 8):

This forum does not promote or want to be associated with AI image-generating tools or plugins or any image generated with AI technology as it is today. This forum is not the place to promote or showcase AI technology. And since the legality or ethical implications of current AI technology is not yet clear we do not want to host or give space to any of the content that promotes AI use. Users are free to debate about AI in the dedicated off topic thread but when adding images generated by AI please note that we do not understand the copyright implications of those images so the post might get removed.

(getting “Body is too similar to what you’ve previously posted” for reasons that do not entirely escape me)

Dude, they already made very clear it does not use GenAI
I pretty much just does 1+1 and gives a clear line, like the algorithm that auto-colors a layer based on, for example, lineart or a sketch (that’s literally on most programs out there)

It is not generative AI, it is a pattern recognition algorithm. This tool is looks at you sketch and filters, which one of your strokes is most likely the line you choose as permanent line. Nothing is additionally added. So no breach of rules.

I’m stuck on the installation. I download the folder at the top and unzip it into the main Krita folder under program files, is that correct. It doesn’t appear when I go to Configure Krita>python plugin manager. I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

There are already build packages with the plugin already installed. Look here FSC Use the later packages, as there are already improvements being made.

Thank you so much. I found it. Will have to study this thread for settings. I gather though this app is more for solidifying sketches, as opposed to “fill in the gaps.” I extract my line art from images and finding/filling those pesky gaps is my torture.

If you want to close the gaps in your sketches, you should try Krita Next Nightlies. There, Krita has an option for gap detection with the color fill tool. You can specify how many pixels should be defined as open or closed, i.e., whether color can flow through this gap or not. If that is what you are after, you probably found it.

If I guess right, you use Windows, here you can find the Krita Next nightlies for Windows, if you need a different OS leaf the folder my link leads to and change into the folder of your OS:

By the way, if you go for the portable Krita, you don’t need to overwrite your standard installation, but you can only run one Krita at a time, or you must split them through a second user account for simultaneous use.
