Hello, Photoshop and Gimp have an option to feather objects into the background. Is there such a feature in Krita?
Can you give more details, such as a GIMP manual reference or a screenshot of the User Interface when doing this?
I’m not even sure what to feather means in this context.
It’s the gradual fading at the edges, e.g. Select → Feather Selection (Shift+F6) or the Fill Tool ‘Feathering radius’ in the Tool Options docker.
Analogous to the physical form of the edge of a feather.
Edit:Add: Feather Selection can be used. You’d select the region then feather the selection, then copy → paste and the object (with feathered edges) would be pasted into a new layer.
Thanks! This is what I was looking for, this is the right answer
