[Feedback wanted] New Fill Tool's "Continuous Fill" Mode

I added to the fill tool a feature that allows filling multiple regions in one “press-move-release” pointer iteration.

It has two modes:

  • “Any region” will fill any region that is under the path made by the cursor while dragging.

    continuous_fill_any

  • “Similar regions” will fill only the regions that are the same color as the pixel where the user first clicked.

    continuous_fill_similar

Please try using February’s 10th nightly (or later).

For any suggestion regarding the naming of options, please comment on this thread.

Question: Should I implement the same feature in the contiguous selection tool?

Because it’s an extra feature and can be used or not, as the user wants, then I’d say yes, implement it in the contiguous selection tool.

As far as I tested it works fine with no problem.

Regarding implementing the same feature in the contiguous selection tool, I don’t think it’s necessary because personally, if the lineart is complex enough other tools become more useful(colorize mask, freehand selection, even just a brush to make the base clipping area, or the regular contiguous selection to select the outside region and invert it). But opinions on this may vary.
