Hello Folks,
is it possible to have float panel for filter masks? Right now If I select the properties of the filter mask , the panel pops up in center but can’t be floated/move like layer properties window. If I want to move it, the whole Krita app moves with with it.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Krita 4.3.0, Debian 10, GNOME 3.34
Seems like a bug.
If I:
- open the filter property
- refresh GNOME with alt+f2>r
- It the property window starts floating
This is because Gnome attaches child window to the parent window. This is not a bug in krita.
Try the solution explained here and if possible file a bug report to gnome developers explaining your use case and why you need to move the modal dialogs when using apps like krita.
Wo! Seems like my kritarc needed to be updated with new Gnome tweaks!
Thanks a ton. Attach Modal Dialogues on and off did the trick!

I don’t think you can mark it as FIXED because there have been no changes to krita to fix anything. i.e. there was no bug in krita that needed fixing.
Anyway, this seems to have been dealt with.
You don’t need to delete kritarc file. I don’t think it saves anything related to this in it
It was crashing Krita. Probably because of testing older versions.
Yes, just realized. Thanks.
