Completely unrelated, but does anyone know how to make a drawing with a apple iPad?

For that, you should use whatever drawing app came with it (maybe Procreate, dunno).
Krita is not available for iPad. But you can use Krita on your Mac computer if you have one.

Procreate is a good choice. Iā€™ve played with it on an iPad. It cost something like $6 and was worth it even for just fooling around. Lots of YouTube videos about it.
Iā€™m assuming that youā€™ve got an Apple Pencil to use on the iPad.

Thanks for your kind comments.
As for how long it took, Iā€™m not exactly sureā€“was at least 10 hours. A lot of that had to do with learning more about Krita. Had to download and install the brushes and then work on how to use them to make the mountains, sky and trees. I then had to slowly go through the demo; sometimes I was using the period and comma keys to step through the demo one frame at a time to pick up which brush was being used or some other detail. But I enjoy learning new things and Iā€™m really happy with the resulting picture. Iā€™m pretty sure that the next one I do will take considerably less timeā€¦

Give it a whirl. You may find thatā€™s itā€™s easier to than you think. Even just to be able to paint the sky and mountains is pretty neat.
If youā€™re truly planning on trying this I could give you a head start by listing the 30 or so brushes that are usedā€“saves the time spent looking through the list of over 200.

Took a shot at Bob Rossā€™s Mystic Mountain. I used 3 resources:

  1. Brushes and some techniques from iforce73
  2. Went through the AgeOfAsparagus demo for Mystic Mountain (awesome series)
  3. Watched the actual Bob Ross video for Mystic Mountain
