Fisheye lens effect

I’m looking for an effect to apply to a layer to produce a fisheye lens effect. Sort of rounded or bubbly (like a fisheye lens would produce). I don’t think there’s a built-in filter for that but maybe there’s another method. If not, is there another app, easily obtainable, that would do something like that? thanks & cheers

This filter is in G´Mic, in “Deformations category”

Ha! perfect. thanks again! Have to admit I’ve never looked at any of those filters before. There’s like a whole 'nuther world of fun in there lol.

Thanks, I didn’t see that part of the manual. I did some quick experiments. I took this drawing of my character. I have the original Krita file and the scenario was separate:

I duplicated the scenario group and merged it into a single layer. On my first attempt, I didn’t like the result. On this other attempt, I changed the center of the effect and the Radius and Amplitude values:

Here is the effect applied and edited with a Transparency Mask. In the case of this drawing, it’s not the type of filter I would use. At least not on the entire art (that depends on the artist’s taste…).

Another experiment, with this drawing. I duplicated the layer and in the G’Mic effect I left the Center at 50 in “X” and “Y”; Radius: 75; Amplitude: 2:

I finished by changing the mode and opacity of the copied layer and editing with a Transparency Mask. I liked that one! :slightly_smiling_face::
