Hi, i think we can’t but i’m asking just in case… Is it possible to define the height/width and maybe location of the right panel that contains the dockers (maybe in the kritarc)? in order to achieve something like that (a floating container with tabbed dockers)
I think this would need coding changes because the section of kritarc that defines the layout of panels looks like this:
State=AAAA/wAAAAD9AAAABAAAAAAAAAEJAAACmPwCAAAABfsAAAAkAFMAbQBhAGwAbABDAG8AbABvAHIAUwBlAGwAZQBjAHQAbwByAgAAAmgAAABLAAAAzQAAAM/8AAAAbgAAAP8AAADAAQAAGfoAAAADAQAAAAX7AAAAHABPAHYAZQByAHYAaQBlAHcARABvAGMAawBlAHIDAAABhQAAABQAAAIcAAABvPsAAAAqAFMAcABlAGMAaQBmAGkAYwBDAG8AbABvAHIAUwBlAGwAZQBjAHQAbwByAQAAAAD/////AAAAugD// – lots more of this sort of thing–
It can’t be edited/modified by a user in any useful way.
yes, that’s what i tought thanks for your time @AhabGreybeard
I don’t think floating dockers can be combined into some floating tabbed area.
That would require a more advanced docking system than Qt itself features.
While there are some alternatives like KDDockWidgets, it’s not without risk to migrate…
yes, it’s not worth it i’ve seen this plugin that may achieve what i wanted
