Hey, i’ve having trouble with this:
I’ve been trying to download a font in Krita (I downloaded krita from the play store)
and so far ive seen no good solution on how to install this font into this version of krita
please help me ;-;
Hi @Appletime
Krita uses your system’s fonts, you cannot install fonts via Krita.
This thread might help you as there is an idea from another user at the end.
oh yeah i forgot to mention, I use a chrome OS-
I’m not an expert in regard to Chrome OS, but I know that on Chromebooks the AppImage Linux version can be used. What the steps are to achieve that I can not tell, but there are a few topics about it here on Krita-Artists, maybe you search through them?

Believe me, I tried
nothing
As I said, I’m no expert when it comes to Chromebooks. I imagine that if you are able to install Linux on your Chromebook, which is supposedly possible, then you can also run the “usual” Krita AppImage on that Linux. And since Linux is not bound by the stupid restrictions of Google ChromeOS, Krita should also be able to access the fonts in that Linux, and not even if that Linux is running in a VM on ChromeOS. Only if this Linux VM on Chromebooks uses a kind of hybrid mode that uses large parts of ChromeOS functions, i.e. is not a fully-fledged VM, then you continue to be subject to Google’s moderation.

I know one thing for sure, if I can ever afford mobile hardware again, it won’t run anything from Google or Apple, but Linux, BSD, Haiku, or possibly even Windows, because with these OSes I’m still the master of my own expensive hardware!
