The middle frame in the left corner worked very well: the scene is clear and perspective is included.

I also liked the picture below it.

My first attempts to form an imaginary picture are always not viable, and here it is very clear. But I always repeat the same mistake trying to use this first idea, and immediately rework it in the final form, simultaneously trying to fix it, without understanding what needs to be fixed. A common advice is to make variants of the same idea, analyze and look for the right one, and only then take on more. And this is really what I need to accustom myself to in order to get rid of worthlessness in finished works.

I understand. I also have difficulties, mainly in adjusting the character to the scenario…

Going back to your drawing: the frames I mentioned work best because they are “read” clearly. Because? It’s hard for me to explain in words… it would have to do with something the animators call a “silhouette”. Sherm Cohen shows, on this page, what it is all about. This use of silhouette, by the way, is very old, in some classic animation drawings I’ve seen them advise this.

This page is part of a series, you can see the rest here. The originals were from the CartoonSNAP blog and their links were unfortunately broken. I just found it by doing a search on Tumblr.
