I’ve been looking up how to generate aura effect like the pictures attached below. I also tried AI plugins to generate it all day long, but no luck.
Is there an easy/quick way to generate it? I’d like to generate white aura.

Those effects have specific shapes that are acomodated to the main subject. I think it’s difficult to have something automatic that gives good results.
What I would do is painting the shapes manually with a normal brush on a new layer and then copy that layer a number of times applying different amounts of blur and using some suitable blending modes to achieve the bloom effect. You can also put the effect layers on a group and attach to it a transparency mask so that you can control easily where the effect is visible/occluded.

This is the part you start making brushes to create patterns.

You can do the aura effect with selection tools, and painting on alpha. First one can be done with generating textures via G’MIC and the other fill thing (which name escapes me for now) as part of a step. No need to make brushes for this, but that also can work too. There’s a lot of routes to be honest, and some don’t even involve painting.

You have to credit the authors of the pictures you posted here, even if it seems to be clear because of the chosen category and your question, that these most probably are not your works.

Sound complicated. Thanks!
Oh, I didn’t realize that. Thanks for reminding me.
