Glow brush pack development - questions for artists

Hello all! i’m currently developing a glow brush pack and am wondering what artists would find practical for such a bundle. The obvious like stars, nebulae and explosions come to mind, but i’m grasping a bit at what else I could make.

What would you find beneficial when adding effects and glow to a piece?

additionally;

Are any of the above examples something you’d reach for?

My goal with making brushpacks is to cut down on drawing time and make the process more accessable / fun to do. I already know I am making a cosmic brushpack at some point.

Personally I rarely reuse assets so a general brush you can draw any light source with, from candle over street light to light text signs would pretty much the only thing I need.

I’m thinking general things for packs. Street lights / city lights, a neon brush, candle flames, stars, lens flares, maybe explosion brushes. My goal is to speed up creation, but point taken!

For explosions there are a lot of different types you can have, most aren’t even that bright unlike the cartoony stylized ones you have already. They’re more like firey clouds and often have pretty dark smoky areas too. Fireworks are probably another thing you want in your pack, there are a lot of different firework effects.

A crackle glow brush for things like electricity/energy.

Those are quite bright, but I do like the firework-shaped one in the top right and the sorta billiance/exposed light/explosions in the bottom left - and the others in between are cool too! This would be a nice complement + extension to Lilymists’s set Lilly Mist`s special brushes

If you ever release this, I’d love to try it out :slight_smile:
