I’m pretty nostalgia for that very blocky MSPaint and XPaint like look. MSPaint needs no introduction, but XPaint is a very basic raster drawing program dating back to roughly 1995.

I guess what I’m trying to ask: I want to lower the pen quality to where it looks like it was done in a really old version of MSPaint. For nostalgia’s sake right now. Any advice?
I think I found a very close way to pull this off. Setting width/height to something like 400x400 or 800x600 makes it very crude and blocky. Perfect. But what does resolution ie 100pi or 300pi do? It doesn’t seem to make a difference.
If you mean ppi/dpi, that’s mostly for printing. Basically how much pixels should be crammed onto an inch of paper. That’s why it doesn’t affect anything on screen.
If you want to increase that old pixel look even more, limit yourself to the pixel art brushes.
