For this yearās theme Iāve decided to continue the narrative from the previous one!
Halloween Art Party 2025: Groovy Ghouls and Ghosts at Ghast-un-bury!
After a long detour, the Flying Phantom ghost train has finally arrived at Ghast-un-bury - just in time for this yearās annual wailing festival!
Your task for this year is to:
Design and illustrate fantastical festival performers, bands, or festival-goers.
To be clear - this is basically a music festival (like Glastonbury), but with a halloween theme.
Itās up to you what form your creation takes - as scary or beautiful, alive or un-dead as you like, just as long as it communicates āhalloween music festivalā in itās design.
All styles are welcome. You can post more than one.
Humans are also welcome at the festival providing they sign the waiver*
As with last year - consider adapting your design to use as your avatar so we can parade our creatures around the forum!
*Those attending the festival do so at their own risk. The festival organisers cannot be held accountable for injury, loss of limb or life, including being eaten by other attendees.
As always; This is not a contest - itās just for fun!
Sorry for being quiet - Iāve just been caught between being unwell and very busy.
I thought Iād set a little challenge for the remainder of the weekend:
Do a page of quick sketches to generate ideas. Aim to do at least 5 different designs, but donāt be fussy with them - say a maximum of 10 minutes per sketch.
As an example - hereās the one I posted in my sketchbook for the 2022 theme:
Actually Iāve been working on another piece for a few days but motivation and energy are difficult for me to get these days⦠I hope I can finish it for Halloween, even if the Halloween spirit is shunning me!
Hey! Hereās finally my proper illustration for this topic. Iām not entirely satisfied with it but Iām tired of working on it so letās say itās good enough and just in time for Halloween! LOL Iām sorry but Iām not really into big modern festivals with loud banging sounds, more into traditional countryside fairs with charming choirs etc. (Theyāre singing āSpooky Scary Skeletonsā. Of course).
