hello all, hope anyone who stops by and help me figure out which brush kind is best to use for creating soft shadows, i dont want to use the usual water brushes or smudge lol. im trying to branch out my skill range and adjust better to krita’s options.

You can use hard edged brush like basic pencil and then use blending brush to soften the edge. You could also use soft edged brush like airbrush from the get go. What I usually do for my practice is to just use 1 pencil brush for most of the sketch and adjust its opacity to low and make the size bigger If I want to create soft edge. Less button to push with smaller amount of tools, less hassle and stress, longer practice session

You need a brush to draw soft shadow “hah”
There’s so many options but you can use airbrush to soften it
Also you can use “basic 4 flow opacity” it’s so soft in shading
Or… You can use “basic 3 flow”
Try all of this three options and If my recommendations not your liking tell me.
