Here are the flowers that I used to represent the characters:
Harry: Aster, Hermione: Cactus Dahlia, Ron: Gerbera, Hagrid: Peony, Dumbledor: Echinacea Purpurea “Meringue” (at first, I wanted to make him into an Iris, but it was complicated to give it a face) Griphook(?): no particular plant. I just saw him as a root-type creature because of his hair.
The idea was kindly offered to me by @Corentin. Even if I didn’t win, it was a great exercise, so thank you very much for that!
If someone is interested on the next Monthly Challenge (March 2025), here’s the link to it:
There was actually a plant motive in Harry Potter too. Harry’s family from mother’s side seemed to have flower-related names (Lily, Petunia) and his father was a Potter.
You’re welcome! I gave the general idea but you added so many details to it! You tackled the challenge masterfully, as I expected! I hope I gave you the taste to make more parodies, because you’re very good at it!
Oh I like it enough, it’s a decent story and attaching characters, but I wouldn’t say that I’m a big fan. I’m not a fan of their magic system, the need of a wand to cast spells is a bit ridiculous in my opinion, and also I prefer medieval settings in general…
But you know, you don’t need to be a fan to have parody ideas! It’s all a matter of word play!
yeah, they have to say some pretty big words and stuff to make a spell… now since u mention it… but do u have a fav?: Star wars, Lord of the Rings… stuff like that?
