Happy Girl - Modern Art-Experiment

I am still using @RamonM brush to evolve my portrait painting to achieve a modern art perspective. In this one I’'ve added the canvas pattern to give it a more canvas texture. In my next one I will attempt to introduce the RGBA textures to give the work a more oil textured finish. I really love the way the colours and textures intermingle in a randomness but still achieve a portrait result.

I am leaning to manipulate the brush sizes, strokes, and opacity with ramon’d new brush to achieve my desired effects. Makes me want to go back to a canvas and paint with real oils again…(or not) lol!

Nice! You should paint this on a 3x2 meter canvas with a centimeter thick paint layer.

I’m sure plenty of people would want it in their swanky living rooms.

And her left nostril is a bit off, isn’t it?

When you’re right…you’re right. Thanks for the heads up. It’s hard to judge in an abstract portrait.

As far as painting this on canvas, as much as it appeals to me, I might just save that for another day . It would be epic though, to paint it with thick layers upon layers of paint.

I realize that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea though. I like the realism of traditional portraiture too, but I have done so many of them on canvas before, so I am trying to branch out a bit. It’s a bit liberating actually.

Sorry, I didn’t notice that you mentioned canvas painting in the OP.

I was thinking that as a customer of this piece, a printout would have felt disappointingly flat. Very cool painting in any case!

Yes I agree…I am not ruling out oil canvas option in the future. In fact I might do something line this for my next canvas portrait commission.
