I no longer have use pen pressure in my configure toolbar. I do not know if this is some kind of bug or if something happened with my krita. I can no longer use pen pressure but my pen pressure works fine in medi bang. I have tried resetting to default and updating the program but neither of those things have worked. I do not know if anyone else is having this issue or if it is just me.
Hello and welcome to the forum @Nixqix!
Sounds unpleasant at first.
Could you please tell us which operating system and version number of Krita you are using and, since it is a pen pressure problem, please also the manufacturer and model of your graphics tablet?
A first tip, which is actually easy to try, is to let Krita recreate the file “kritarc”. I recommend you to back up the file first, rename it or copy it to another location, so that you can restore it, if it is not a corrupt “kritarc”. You can find it in the “local path” of your user account.
This will cause you to lose your customizations to Krita, but they are usually quickly restored.
As a tip for the future, I recommend that you back up this and any other files in this directory that have “krita” in the filename once you have Krita set up to your needs.

Edit/Add: If you have organized your Docker differently, then you should save them beforehand via the “Choose Workspace” button on the far right of the toolbar, and you may want to make screenshots of the settings under “Configure Krita” beforehand, so as a mental aid and if you have reassigned many shortcuts, you can have the entire shortcut assignment printed out.
My tablet is a UGEE M708 Graphics Tablets
My computer is a windows 10 version 21H1 build 19043. 1415
Hello,
Adding to @Michelist post a good first step is checking if your pen pressure is enabled inside krita. To do this do the following:
Settings → Configure Toolbars… → In the Toolbar drop menu choose BrushesAndStuff
You will see the image bellow. In the Filter field (1) type Pen Pressure. Click on the icon of a pen (2), then click on the arrow to the right (3), lastly click on Ok (4).
Now you will see the Pen Icon on your top bar. Make sure it is enabled (highlighted). See the image bellow.
My pen pressure is enabled but I still isn’t working
Mostly likely a Windows update is messing with the driver of your tablet.
Can you go to the UGEE site and download the latest driver for your model. In the case you’re already in the most recent driver, then uninstall your Tablet Driver and reinstall it.
Just remember to always follow these steps when updating the drivers.
- Close Krita, others programs that can use the tablet. Preferably close all applications
- Uninstall your current tablet driver (opitional, but better do it to be safe)
- Make a full shut down restart
- Install the new driver
- Make another full shut down restart (so the driver is loaded when Windows boot up)
So I updated the driver and restarted my computer I got into krita and it worked but when I got off krita and restarted the program again to make sure it would stay working it stopped working again.
In this case changing the tablet input inside Krita can solve the problem.
Go to Settings → Configure Krita → Tablet Settings
Change the input from Windows Ink to WinTab (or vice-versa). After this close Krita and open it again. You have to restart Krita after changing this input option.
