The program randomly started acting weird today. I can hover my pen over my drawing tablet and Krita properly calibrates where I’m going (basically, it shows the movement of the cursor accurately corresponding to my movements). However, when I press my pen down and try to drag it across the screen, Krita does not make any marks on my paper.
I don’t think this is a problem with my pen, though. I can hold and drag it on other programs and it functions just fine. I’ve also tried just using my trackpad on Krita; just like with the pen, I can hover the mouse just fine, but when I try to press down and make a mark, the cursor on the screen just freezes up and nothing happens.
I’ve closed out of and reopened Krita three times and the same thing happened. I even restarted my computer, but again: nothing.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Help would be appreciated!!
(I’m not sure if this is important, but I use a Wacom tablet and a Mac computer)
Also, please let me know if a part of my explanation didn’t make sense! I’m not too savvy with tech jargon, hehe.
Hi,
I have a couple of quick questions first.
Does your Mac accept your Wacom tablet as a tablet? You can check, if I right, using the tablet driver to see if it is connected or not.
Second, in Krita, does Krita receive your tablet’s pen input? You can check this by going to Settings → Configure Krita → Tablet Settings → Open Tablet Tester.
What version of Krita are you using and do you know the specifications of your Mac?
Thank you!
Thank you for your help! I just realized that I was on the group layer and couldn’t make a mark because of that (massive facepalm).
