My images won’t save, even when I tried another image file type
The auto saves aren’t saving either
It just gives the same error every time, and all I’ve done is import a png and draw
I use a windows laptop, if that’s important
I realize the image quality for some reason sucks, it says:
could not save (image location)
Unknown error
•could not save merged image
You may be having a problem with folder permissions (it happens sometimes).
Try saving to a completely different folder.
Did you use save or export. Because I noticed it’s trying to create a png instead of a kra file.
I’ve tried both, and it doesn’t work
It wouldn’t even auto save, as it said error every time
Are you trying to save in the cloud such as OneDrive or Google Drive? If so, try a folder on your hard drive.
I tried, but it didn’t change anything
By saving over and over again, I managed to get it to save a png but not a Krita file
As of the last time I logged into it, it wouldn’t crash anymore but I struggled to get it to let me save, and I still didn’t get a Krita file saved
I tried a bunch of different file types, and seemingly png is the only one that I could get to save, even if it was only saving it once out of 20ish tries
To help you with your device problem, you’ll need to share a lot more information with us.
Which version of Windows are you using – 10? 11?
Try to save a .kra file right now but take a screenshot before you hit “save” showing us exactly where you are attempting to save the .kra file.
ADD: Also, how much RAM does your device have?
How much room do you have left on your hard drive?
There is a possibility that One Drive is active and is configured to automatically backup your Desktop contents to ‘the cloud’.
I suggest that you disable OneDrive just in case.
If you have any other network/internet file saving clients intalled and running then disable those as well.
Have you recently had an update to an existing ‘antivirus’ utility or do you have any such utility installed. If you do, disable it.
