Problem
Currently, there is no easy way to differentiate between brushes you like more than others in a particular tag (e.g. Charcoal, Pencils, Wet paint). It can be hard to memorise which brushes were used in previous sessions. While I can tag them or have tags that overlap (e.g. “Nice pencils” as subset of “Pencils”), this takes away from the ease of organising brushes.
Proposal
I therefore propose to add differentiation for brushes tagged as favourite. That way, they can be both recalled from the “My favourites” tag and as part of another tag.
This could work as following, the brush text could be bold when using “Detail” display and there could be an outline around the thumbnail in “Thumbnail” display (notice: this doesn’t have to be in red).
It would be nice to have this in the Brush editor and Brush presets docker.
Alternative solution
An alternative solution is to add a star in the thumbnails of favourite brushes, just like there’s a star in front of the “My favourites” text. However, considering there are plenty of icons in brush thumbnails already to indicate tilt, stamps, etc. I think this would make the thumbnails harder to read.
