does anyone know if there is a honeycomb style brush anywhere? thanks in advance
Hello @lets_ignore_that, and welcome to the forum!
I suppose, as long as you don’t provide us with examples of how such a brush works, what kind of strokes or textures it creates, or describe in as much detail as possible what such a brush is used for, or give us links or pictures showing, describing such a brush, we won’t be able to help you.

Yes! sorry for the wait, but thats perfect!
Assuming you’d like to know how to do that:
Click the Edit Brush Settings icon on the Toolbar to open the Brush Editor.
Enable the Pattern property then using the Texture tab you can select from one of many available textures/patterns.
The Options tab lets you adjust the Scale and many other more subtle and sometimes confusing properties:
In the Scratchpad area, you can do a small check/test of the brush before closing the Brush Editor to use the brush on the canvas.
You can make your own patterns as .png files and import them into krita so they appear in the Patterns docker and in the Textures tab of the Brush Editor.
