Please type @sooz in your reply so I get pinged
Congratulations on your victory. The plot feels like a duel between two characters, but due to the prevalence of green, the picture turned out to be calm and balanced. You did a great job.![]()
Поздравляю с победой. В сюжете чувствуется дуэль двух персонажей, но за счёт преобладания зелёного, картина получилась спокойной и сбалансированной. Вы молодец.
Thank you, @sooz !
Of course you have my permission. If you could tag my instagram @nunogomes.ilustra as well, that would be great =)
Description:
Depiction of the titular boss battle in the game Silksong. Both characters are in the air; Hornet jumps to the side while holding her needle. Her cape flows with the movement. The Moss Mother is flying, charging towards her. They are both in an underground cave covered in moss. There are insect eggs around them.
hey desenhunos im kind of new to art not the best I was able to make my first animation its really good in my opion but I was wondering tips like how to add depth and shading like how yours looks 3d thank you it would be nice
Hey there Dominick! That’s cool, I’d love to see your animation. So, for improving on depth and shading, it’s important to practice understanding shadow and light shapes in images. Try making some exercises by copying pictures, only blocking out the shadow into a single shape, using a brush with no opacity or even just the lasso tool if you’re on digital.
But as far as tools go, I often use Blender to make some 3D models that serve as lighting reference. This is the blockout I used for the Moss Mother in this painting, for instance. I also took a human model from Daz 3D, witch is a free posing software. This all sounds very elaborate, but it’s really quite straightforward once you figure out the apps. But I believe the most important thing is to understand light fundamentally by practice and observation.
Genuinely so impressed, good job!!!
Wow, you´re really good! I wish I was as good as you.
Awesome! Right how it feels in the game (really gotta continue at some point, I’m half way through)
