I want to use Specific Color Selector, but I’m forced to use the Advanced Color Selector, which doesn’t allow me to use RGB sliders, and doesn’t show me any numerical color values at all. I’ve searched, but it’s like Specific Color Selector doesn’t even exist. What do I do?
I don’t know why I didn’t see that under dockers, thank you.
Is there any way I can use either the Scratch color slider where Color/Saturation/Brightness only go from 0-100, or the RGB Color sliders that only go from 0 to 255?
I don’t know what you mean by “Scratch color slider”. Can you explain that?
The HSV (Hue/Saturation/Value) numbers go from 0-360 degrees for the Hue and 0-100% for S and V because that is how the colour representation is defined.
For R,G,B then those are display pixel brightness numbers and can be either 0-100% (of the maximum value) or 0 - Maximum Value or 0 - 1.0 (scaled to maximum value) and that maximum value varies depending on the bit depth/format.
Is there a way I can change the depth/format so that Red, Blue, and Green scales to 255 as shown? Preferably with a slider for each color along side a typable number value box. RGB255
If you set it to RGB mode with RGB/Alpha (8-bit integer/channel) and turn off the % icon then you get values from 0 to 255 that can be typed in or inc/decremented or dragged with the sliders.
That ‘CSB’ link shows the Colour/Saturation/Brightness values from 0 - 100% and I don’t think krita does that.
Ah, thank you! I still had HSV selected instead of RGB.
Is there any way I can get the gradient to stop changing color as I slide the slider? It makes it difficult for me to find the color I’m seeking.
The colours on the sliders indicate the colour that you would get if you set the slider marker to that place.
As such, they are very helpful.
What you could do is look at the ‘Colour name’ rectangle because that is a live update of the selected colour.
If you want to pick a particular colour based on its appearance, try the Advanced Colour Selector.
