How can I intensify the color of a layer?

I want the color to stand out more because the layer drawing has muted colors and I don’t know how to make all the colors in the drawing stronger at once.

Hello, select your layer and press ctrl+u then push the saturation cursor

Hello Llori

Firstly, make sure you didn’t activate “soft proof” accidently by hitting crtl + y (alternatively via Menu bar: View / Soft Proofing. Make sure there is no hook in front).

One way to enhance colours of a layer:
Menu bar: Filter / Adjust / HSV Adjustement
Where it says “Saturation” push the slider to the right.

You can play around with other filters, for instance with the “Colour Adjustement Curve” tool ( ctrl + m). With this you can try something like this:

For non-destructive changes of that nature, that can be adjusted later at any time, use a Filter Mask.
Select the image layer, click the little down-arrow at the lower left of the Layers docker and then click on Filter Mask from the list of options. This will add a filter mask to the image layer and open up the New Filter Mask window.

Expand the Adjust group on the left and click on HSV/HSL Adjustment.
Move the Saturation slider as needed and then press OK and carry on working.

Later, if you want to make changes, you can select the filter mask in the Layers docker, right-click it and choose Properties to get the Filter Mask Properties window. Adjust as needed, press OK and carry on.
