How do I center a group in the middle of the canvas without snap?

I tried snap image centre but that seems to be snapping only on the vertical axis. Is there a button i can press like in photoshop that just aligns the currently selected layer to the center of the canvas?

Okay so now the vertical snapping isn’t happening but the horizontal kind is. Also, I’m noticing something else: when i have snap image centre enabled it isn’t even snapping it to the center it seems. It’s slightly to the right. I don’t have any hidden layers and the bounding box of the group looks normal, so i’m not sure what’s up.

Snapping wil snap the cursor, not the content you’re moving.
If you use the Transform tool instead, that has a marker at the centre of the content bounding box so you can use the move function of the Transform tool (double headed arrow) to manually move the centre to where you want it.
I suggest that you place guides on the canvas centre lines for this but don’t snap to them.

Ohhh okay thank you, this is a helpful workaround! Hopefully bounding box snapping is added in a future update ^^;
