How do I download ffmpeg on my Samsung tablet. The apps don’t work
Hello @Mia, and welcome to the forum!
To use FFmpeg on Android you should take a look at this post:
I think this and the above posts will help you with your concern. But if I’m wrong, I can’t help you further because I haven’t used Android in years.

Hi @Mia - Welcome.
To which apps are you referring?
The apps I see on play store
I looked at it but I don’t really understand.
You want to have FFmpeg on your Android device. On any operating system except Android this is a simple task, but on Android this task is a kind of open-heart surgery in the high-security wing of a Secret Service prison. In other words, Google has made it increasingly difficult and complicated for users to use their own hardware in recent years when Android is the operating system. This is because Google is now trying to patch up the deliberate sloppiness and creation of security gaps that it deliberately accepted in the battle for market share against Apple’s iOS, on the backs of its customers and their hardware. And that means that Google is barricading and nailing up every little security hole and every crater-deep source of danger, which has the consequence that the installation of software and “even worse” the communication between applications is made very, very, very difficult, if not impossible.
The article I linked describes how the user installed FFmpeg using the terminal application “termux” and command line commands accepted by termux.
In order to understand this, the person who wants to understand this should have at least basic computer skills. It is not enough to be the first to click on every available button of an application, you should understand what the person explaining it is describing to you.
But I think the instructions are good. You should read through it once or twice with calm and patience, install the termux app required for the FFmpeg installation project on your Samsung, then enter the command
pkg install ffmpeg
and confirm, I would then also update the FFmpeg you have just installed to the latest version with the command
pkg upgrade -y
Then install the “TimeLapse” app from an F-Droid app store and follow @Maquinan’s instructions.
It’s no use if I just repeat everything here @Maquinan wrote in the other topic, it will probably be better to follow the original.
If you don’t understand the description, find someone who has very good computer skills. And I’m not talking about someone who is the best gamer.
