How do i export files as .bmp? on windows

soo im trying to make a live2d model and i want to export each layer as an .bmp file so i could animate it

Got to file - Export and scroll down to 'Windows BMP Image" to export as .bmp.
I’ve never exported to this, but I shall assume that like the other exports, it will flatten the whole image once exported, so you will need to only show each layer at a time and export them individually.

Tools-scripts-export layers might be what you need.

Oooh, that’s useful! I never knew that was there. I just looked at it and it only seems to give the option of JPG or PNG so I’ve no idea if there’s a way to export as anything else? But super useful if you need to export various things in PNG with a transparent background, without going through the faff of doing each layer individually. Thanks for the tip!

how do i do that individually?

To export the bits you want individually, just make sure that whatever you want to export is visible on the canvas, and all other layers are not showing. So if you only want Layer 1 for example, then have only layer 1 visible when you export. Then turn off visibility for layer 1, show layer 2 and export, and so on.
The process for exporting is the exact same, it just exports whatever your have showing on the canvas at the time.

thanks
