How do i save an image with a transparent background

When i go to save my image as a png it says to set my transparent fill color. I want to save it with a transparent baclground

I’d suggest that you use Export instead of Save, just in case you want to carry on working with a muiltilayer image.

Enable the ‘Store alpha channel’ option in the .png exporting/saving dialogue:

Heres the thing, when i go to save or export i dont see all those extra options

Those are the options for a .jpg image. You said you wanted a .png image.

Also, a .jpg image can not have transparency. It’s not intended for that and should only be used as a final output format intended for posting or sending to people for viewing only, not for further work.
