I’m working on this character and I want to learn how to color the lineart of the piece of clothing she’s wearing
I vaguely remember a tutorial on it but I can’t really emulate the process so if any of you have tips or advice on how to do such I’d love to hear it
I prefer to use the colorize mask to create flat coloring for a finished lineart.

Select your lineart layer, lock the alpha of the brush or layer and paint on it with the color you want.
That’s what you do when you want to actually change the color of the outlines, I understood it as flat coloring the artwork, i.e. filling the outlines with colors.
