How should I practice my pen control?

I’m currently drawing using a tablet and a stylus.

Just enjoy doodles and sketches for now. When you feel more confident, then expand on that and draw things that require shading.

Exactly! Have fun and explore your new possibilities, and don’t expect to master it in two days - switching to a graphics tablet rarely takes less than three or four weeks, even though you’ll start seeing noticeable progress before then. Most people need up to three months to really get used to it.

And if I misunderstood you and you’ve been using it for a while, do what @CrazyCatBird advised. Doodle around, practice lines, circles, squares, make small sketches, paint little pictures, and try out Krita’s additional options - filters and layer styles, for example - and again, have fun. As long as you’re just doing this as a hobby, there’s no need to put pressure on yourself; you have all the time in the world. The most important thing is always to have fun. We have enough stress in our work lives - why ruin your leisure time?

My friend said it might be because the tablet’s sensitivity is set too high, and that adjusting the software could automatically filter out higher-frequency vibrations.Does Kita(original name too hard to remember.) have this function?

Set Brush Smoothing to Basic, that is exactly for this micro vibration leveling.

Maybe you are thinking of brush smoothing?

If you find the tablet surface too “slippy” and are used to drawing on paper, try taping a piece of paper to your tablet.

What I’d suggest is that you practice by with by making left, right, up and down, and horizontal on your computer screen with your tablet, adapt methods for using pressure better from traditional art as well. What I suggest is that you look up exercises for line work on YouTube and adapt them to the digital environment.

This is a exercise you can do to get better lines. First draw a large circle and keep going round till your hand, then go the other hand hurt, then draw a up/down ellipse, a right/left ellipse and two diagonal ellipses the same in the circle, then draw a small the same way and your done.

Draw two or more lines bending at right and 270 degree angles, then draw two or more lines ending circles. Draw lines around imitating but no duplicating those lines. The picture shows what I mean.

In this exercise draw as many lines up/down, left/right and diagonal lines as possible all straight as possible (unlike me, *Du-dum-tiss). This and the last one will build your straight line making ability.

Straight lines may not seem that, but a straight you hand draw will always look more natural.

Edit: You’ll want to adapt these exercises to digital.
