How can I recreate this cartoon furry edge with Krita?
Hello @besklar and welcome to the forum 
You can paint a sharply defined edge and then blur it with a Gaussian Blur using
Filter → Blur → Gaussian Blur.
In the Gaussian Blur window, make sure that Preview is enabled then adjust the Horizontal and Vertical Radius values.

Thanks @AhabGreybeard I’ll give that a try sometime this week
It seems you can do this effect with the brush “Distort Move” from the Krita 4 default resources bundle.
