Animator needs help 
I saw a img sequence importer thread and I don’t understand the process I need to do here to get their results.

File -> Import animation frames lets you select a set/range of frame images that can then be read and imported into a layer in your document.
Make sure the document has a suitably sized canvas.
If you enable the Add hold frames automatically option then you can adjust the final frame destination of the images to take account of any numerical gaps in the image index numbers and you can shift the start of the image sequence destination along the timeline.
If you try some simple tests then you’ll figure it out fairly quickly.
