How to install a plugin.

Hello @Sydney!

I have moved your topic to what I hope is a more appropriate category of the forum, I hope that is ok with you.

Then I have a question, do you want to install a plugin, or do you want to import the bundle from the watercolor page by Pesi?
The bundle would be imported in the same way as a bundle with brushes in Krita, that is via ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Manage Resource Libraries…’’ and there you have to click on the button ‘‘Import’’ and select the bundle via the file manager dialog that opens and confirm the selection.

The easiest way to install plugins in Krita is to go to “Tools” >> “Scripts” >> “Import Python Plugin from File…”, then in the dialog that opens, specify the path to the plugin (the ZIP files you just downloaded / where the plugin is in) and confirm it, confirm the next dialog box as well, then restart Krita and then, depending on the plugin, set up the plugin to your liking.

If you got further questions than please feel free to ask.

Thanks…only one question …where did u move the topic to so I will know for the next time?

In the category Support and Advice, you’ll find it in the sub-category General Questions, but that is a list that gets longer day by day.

But you can also bookmark this page, you will find the bookmark button under the last post of each topic, this seems to be easier than searching for this topic in the well visited category. You can retrieve your bookmarks by clicking on your avatar in the top bar of the forum, and there click on the same looking icon you find at the bottom next to the bookmark button you used to create the bookmark.

A third version to find back to this topic, is to copy the content of your browsers address-bar and store it in a safe place, but that is very inconvenient in my eyes.

Hi @Sydney - Here is the tutorial on how to install a plugin from the Krita manual.

https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/python_scripting/install_custom_python_plugin.html

Do please note the warning at the top of the page about using plugins.
