How to keep colour/saturation on computer

Hello, I’m still new to using Krita and I have noticed that the display on my computer is less saturated than on my drawing tablet. My tablet is an innovator 16 and my computer is a dell. I’ve tried reading other posts but I don’t fully understand the language/processes they explain, I have also tried using the display p3 but it also is less saturated on the computer.

Every screen is calibrated differently, even screens from the same brand and model can have differences due to manufacturing errors. There also monitors for different purposes like gaming, movie editing, art or office that have different colors profiles (the colors they use) and capabilities (the colors they can possibly show). That’s why digital artists often buy specific screens that can be calibrated so their work shows the same on every of their displays.

You can read more about it here.

Best case is you can set both displays to the same color profile but if that’s not possible (like with a lot of consumer grade monitors) you’re out of luck.

Hi @Evied

Here is what I do to deal with my laptop monitor not being as vibrant as my second monitor. I do my work on one monitor but have the overview docker display on the other.

When I think I’m close to finished, I export the image and look at it on both monitors and my phone and tablet. It will look slightly different on each – I’m just looking to be sure I like it on each one and that there are no areas that get too dull or too bright.

It’s a good practice as the people who view your image will see something different than what you created as their device and their browser or social media app will add their own processing.

You can say that again. I did some web page design for a company that had a dozen computers in my immediate vicinity. What looked good on one monitor could be right hideous on the next one. Had to aim for the lowest common denominator in the office, and never knew how bad it could look out there on the web.

A website to read about the color concepts:

A link in Resources that has a bit of information about sRGB and its different appearance on different displays:
