I’m trying to recreate a lineart brush style I saw in some artworks. The line is not smooth or uniform – it looks a bit pixelated / rough on the edges, not like a clean vector pen.
I would like to make a similar brush in Krita.
Do you have any tips on how to set up such a brush (e.g. brush tip, texture, opacity jitter)?

the fuzzy dab in the rotation settings is how you are gonna get that textured edge.
@Conoreika, it is possible that your Browser will download this file as a PNG, which is not absolutely wrong, because a Krita brush preset is literally a PNG which was given additional metadata which makes the PNG into a brush Krita knows as *.KPP files. This means, you have to rename the downloaded file back to Texture_Pixel.kpp to be able to import it via ‘‘Settings’’ >> ‘‘Manage Resources…’’ >> ‘‘Import Resources’’.

Or if you can give me the steps to recreating it from the brush editor - I don’t know which brush to use as base and where to find shapes_round_random part.

Did you manage to download the file from Bubba post? If yes, did download as Texture_Pixel.png? Note the .PNG at the end.
In this case you have to rename to Texture_Pixel.kpp. This way you can import the Brush into Krita as a wholeheartedly Brush, if all the settings pre-configured.
If you have any difficult importing the resources, just say so, and we will help you (Michelist explain above too).

I did manage to change it to kpp, I think I now understand that the image in the thumbnail is the brush itself, and is what allows for the “texture” around the ink.
I thought at first the brush would look like the 4 strokes in the thumbnail and that’s why I was confused.

Hello, the effect you’re looking at in the example picture seems like a screen tone. There’s a method to set up a screen tone layer which you can paint over in this thread Gradient Tone Tool.
There’s almost certainly a way to make a screen tone brush, if someone hasn’t already. You would need to upload or use a screen tone texture to the Pattern section of the brush settings and make sure the anti-aliasing in Brush Tip setting is off. Making sure opacity and Strength dynamics are off will make sure it’s a solid colour.
