How to replicate Procreate's Old Beach artistic textured watercolor brush for Krita?

Found an online image of the brush for a rough idea. Still not able to replicate the texture, burnt edges or the tip. There is also a youtube video on it, “Charcoal in Procreate” which describes it perfectly. The only Krita brush that comes close to it is wojtryb’6 N 05 watercolor. I know the brush behavior is different on both the softwares… It is a watercolor brush but with a grunge-dirt and stony texture feel to it. It is beneficial for pattern recognition, basically focusing totally on cutting forms, and adding/subtracting values. Any input will be very appreciated.

Have you tried out Pesi’s watercolour bundle ?

It didn’t help much with what I was looking for, but definitely, a must-have brush pack @ari , some really good brushes there. Thanks again.

I guess as you have mentioned before that brush behavior varies in different softwares.
So sometimes it can be hard to find an exact match.
Your attached image reminded me about Pesi’s bundle, which I had enjoyed a lot.
So yesterday,I was testing them out again and found some basic similarities (as per your attached image)

Sorry that it did not help ,but I believe you will find some other use for this bundle in future  .

Pesi’s By far the best watercolor pack I’ve used for Krita no doubt, thank you for taking the time and giving such an in-depth insight @ari , At the moment Iam just looking for a similar textured brush like old beach that compliments my sculpting process that helps with pattern recognition, which is my core workflow, as I don’t start with lines. This would definitely save a lot of time.

Currently, I use a custom-tipped and patterned RGBA-wet 09 Impasto BG for the big forms and a custom RGBA-wet 01 soft dulling for medium smudging. Basic 4 Flow opacity, Airbrush pressure and a blender for almost everything else, and some final touches with some texture and watercolor splashes/blends. Ill continue testing and check out new brushes. Thank you once again for being very helpful and informative ari.

No problem @Zephyr  !
I can understand.
Currently your requirement is little more complex compared to basic watercolour behavior .
I hope you will find some reasonable solution soon.

Pesi’s PW5-05-thick-glaze2 brush might be what you are looking for.
You can change out the brush tips and get some pretty close effects.
I tested it just now with a handful of brush tips I’d created and got close to if not same, as the image you posted. try a bunch of spaced out dots, ( I used my star field brush tip, and got some nice grain into the brush. )
I have been trying to replicate a brush myself, and honestly this is a real challenge at times hehe

Krita would likely need ribbon brush to really make this happen.
I think being able to add a pattern to the masked brush would help too maybe.

this might be useful to you;
WaterColor Layer setup - Develop - Krita Artists (krita-artists.org)
maybe not same effect but still convincing water color imo
