How to scale up pixels and fill it in

Hi all,

I’m pretty new to krita and I was wondering what the best way to scale a selected region and color it in would be. I have the picture below I can use the similar color selection tool to get the selection of the pixels and right click → transform → scale to make the selection bigger but it’s transparent and I’m not sure how to fill it in. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Note: this is not my original work it’s pixel art from maplestory

Applying it is muscle memory for me at this point (and I’m not at my keyboard at the moment), but I believe Shift + Backspace will fill a selection with the foreground color you have selected.

If you want to make your pixel art bigger, select your piece, then go to the Tool Options. Set it on “scale” and use the Nearest Neighbor filter (that’s the one filter for pixel art!). Don’t forget to lock Width and Height difference, and change it into the size you need it to be:
