How to select hair

Hello folks,
how can I select the hair or fur precisely from an image? I want to do photo manipulation.

Hey, I don’t really know a lot about photo manipulation, but I do have a suggestion.
Maybe try to copy and paste the image into a krita document, take the lasso tool, and outline the area of the hair/fur that you want to copy. Then, (if on a computer), press “ctrl c” and then “ctrl v” to get the hair/fur that you selected onto a separate layer.
After that, delete the original picture, so that you only have the area you selected.

I hope this helps!

Krita is not geared towards photo manipulation so as such the options for doing such complex task is limited in Krita. Based on the photo I can suggest you some steps. is the photo on white background? is the background of same colour or value as the hair? Showing the example image would be good.

If you want better image separation and manipulation tools you can check out GIMP another free and open source tool targeted towards image manipulation.
