Soo I’ve wanted to make timelapse video on krita, but the timelapse on krita seems complicated and need some kind of file ( FFmpeg )
any person who experience in this??
It’s not that complicated anymore, basically you open the recorder docker and press record. However on Android it is not possible because the software that does the rendering of the recording, does not exist there.
Krita now has ffmpeg built in to it and so you no longer need to obtain ffmpeg yourself.
The manual is a very useful source of information:
I wonder if the wording ( mobile ) here should indicate Android as the operating system? If it is, with Android you have the problem that Krita Android does not have FFmpeg. A fact that is based on problems with file system permissions, and restricted data exchange between different apps, on Android.
So if you are talking about Android, then installing FFmpeg is not impossible but will be very difficult for users who do not have in-depth computer knowledge and are confident in using the command line to set up FFmpeg on Android, because Krita for Android does not have FFmpeg on board due to Google’s restrictions.
Krita for Android also suffers a bit from being a port of the desktop version of Krita, and not an application that was developed from scratch just for Android and looks like Krita. There is also software that is supposed to have access to FFmpeg under Android, but these programs have only been developed for Android and are therefore “closer” to the Android operating system and probably have access to more system resources than Krita can.
